The Anguished Demise of Bill bel Pepper.

Inside a bell pepper, no one can hear it scream. Maybe bell peppers’ scream can’t be heard because they’re mimes. Miming bell peppers would explain a lot.

Bill bel Pepper went quietly into the night, but not easily as the photo below attests. On the other hand, Mr. bel Pepper had it coming as he’d giving me the silent treatment all afternoon. His fate was as an ingredient in Peanut Soup from Cameroon. This soup turned out rather well, so some good came out of him being minced into little bits.

And now, Bill bel Pepper.

The end of Bill bel Pepper

WordPress Won’t Let Upload Photos to My Blog/

Does anyone know how to fix this? I can’t see using WordPress much longer if I can’t use photos.

I would greatly appreciate any help on this matter.

It All Became Clear

It was the least of times. It was the worst of times. I struggled all morning to gather all the information to complete my taxes. Did you know that passwords exist for the sole purpose of excluding only the people who have a legitimate purpose of visiting an important website.

Then things got worse. I had to dredge the hard-won numbers off the internet. I spent maybe four hours to get documents printed. Did you know that your printer, on its own device, can switch your default page size to something that the printer can’t print? Mine did. But it did print reams of unwanted pages. Why, the blazes, do printers always insist on trying print the entire 37-page document? Why do they make it so difficult to stop the print job? Suffice it to say the air around me became hazy with legions of cuss words overlapping each other. What was the source of all this evil?

And then Occam’s razor came to mind. The simplest solution is the correct one. And here it is.

The Great Latch Hook Project – Part 5

Yesterday was a horrible day as I hurt so much and couldn’t do anything. I am happy to say that I was able to take up latch hooking again today. I am about 42% done and am doing about 1.5 squares a minute. I am up to Charlie Brown’s belly button.

Here’s what it looks life:

TIDBITS

1) BBQ is short for barbecue. NRC is the abbreviation for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Folks at the NRC love BBQ as who would not? When one of their employees says, “I’m going to nuke the leftover meatloaf, does she mean she’s going to reheat in the microwave or should we be heafing to the fallout shelters?

2) This BBQ Meatloaf recipe uses barbecue sauce.

3) This reminds me of joke they might tell at the NRC.
Q: Why don’t they eat BBQ Meatloaf at the Chemical Safety Board?
A: The meatloaf falls through the holes in the grill. Ha! Ha! Ha!

What I’m Giving Up For Lent

Giving this up for Lent

We’re encouraged to give up something for Lent. Doing so makes us a better person. So okay, I’ll forego something as well.

Sigh.

Okay, here’s my sacrifice.

I’m giving up lutefisk and mushrooms for the Lenten season.

What’s that you say? That must be hard.

It is, but I’m blessed with an iron will. Once I’ve gotten the Lenten bit between my teeth,  I keep going with my no lutefisk and no mushrooms vow until the start of next year’s Lent. Whereupon, I make a similar resolution. My resolve is in indeed unshakable. Happy Lent, everyone.
