Absolutely Accurate Forecasts of Everything for 2023

The world is a chaotic and often terrifying place. What will happen to us? What should we do? It all seems so unpredictable.

But that simply isn’t so.

Listed below are compelling issues and events, that I follow and know something about, and that really must be prognosticated if we are to facing the buffeting events of our future.

And this is what the experts say:

The Stock Market: It will either go up or down. And they are rather certain of that.

Inflation: It will go up, stay the same, or go down.

Severity of the Coming Recession: It will be hard or mild.

Length of Putin’s War in the Ukraine: It will end soon or drag on.

I could go on, but I don’t want to give everything way.

How to Help Ukraine – 7 More Ways

I copied this from a post by I hope they will forgive me.

How to help the people of Ukraine: 7 things you can do right now

Amid one of the biggest geopolitical storms in decades, Ukrainians are crowdsourcing a list of organizations where foreigners can donate.

[Source Images: Klaus Vedfelt/Getty]

Update Thursday, February 24, 4:40 p.m. ET: We’ve added additional resources to this story following the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

On Tuesday, Russia ordered troops into parts of Ukraine, creating one of the biggest geopolitical storms in decades in a move that President Biden called “the beginning of a Russian invasion.” The reaction from governments around the world has been swift, with Russia itself and its biggest companies and richest citizens being hit with economic sanctions. However, those have done hardly anything yet to deter Russia, and many believe Russia’s president, Vladimir Putin, won’t stop until his ultimate goal is achieved—taking the capital of Kyiv.

Only time will tell how Putin’s move will impact our future history, but right now the people of Ukraine are suffering. Already Ukrainian soldiers and civilians have been killed and parents are preparing for the worst, sending their children to school with blood type identification stickers in case of bombings.

While most of us feel helpless when confronted with geopolitical machinations of this scale, there are ways you can help the citizens of Ukraine right now. As journalist Jane Lytvynenko pointed out on Twitter, Ukrainians have put together a list of organizations where foreigners can donate, both to help the Ukrainian army and its private citizens. Those organizations include:

  • Come Back Alive and Army SOS: both will use donated funds to help purchase supplies for the Ukrainian military, including ammunition, shields, and food.
  • Razom for UkraineHelp for UkraineSunflower of Peace, and Revived Soldiers Ukraine: these four organizations will use donations to fund medical aid for the people of Ukraine, including the purchase of first aid kits, backpacks stuffed with medical supplies, and medical rehabilitation for injured soldiers.
  • The Kyiv Independent: finally, you can help fund English-language journalism in the country by donating to the Kyiv Independent at its Patreon of GoFundMe accounts.
  • Committee to Protect Journalists: CPJ is calling for the protection of journalists in Ukraine following the invasion. Donate here.
  • International Rescue Committee: This group helps families in conflict zones around the world, including in Ukraine. Make an emergency donation here.

Michael Grothaus is a novelist, journalist, and former screenwriter. His debut novel EPIPHANY JONES is out now from Orenda Books. You can read more about him at

How to Help Ukraine

Please help Ukraine

I usually blog about recipes, funny things, and pretty pictures. But not, today. Ukraine suffers mightily from the unprovoked Russian assault unleashed by the bloody dictator Putin. While none of us can do much to undo the horrors of this war, it is also far from true that we can do nothing.

Please consider giving to the five organizations listed in the below link. They are listed creditable by Wisconsin’s Better Business Bureau. One of them is Catholic Relief Services. I have given to them multiples times.

Be sure to click on Ukraine Relief Activities. if you want your money to go to Ukraine and not globally. I am not just asking you to help. I have already given.

I would be grateful if you let me know of other deserving and creditable organizations helping in Ukraine.

Thank you so much,

America to Deploy Lutefisk Defense Shield

The United States will deploy a lutefisk defense shield over all American cities. Says Major Carl La Fong of the United States Space Force, “No one, but no one, can manage to down an entire lutefisk. Our cities will be impregnable.”

Amos Keeto of Rid America of Lutefisk Post Haste (RALPH) applauded the move saying, “It’s about time we rid our land of lutefisk. It looks like boogers and smells like a rat died under a furnace. Putin won’t want to get anywhere our flying lutefisk.”

When asked what would happen should our shield should fail and lutefisk plummets down on our cities, Mr Keeto yelped and fainted.

Lutefisk pieces defend American cities.

P.S. Paul De Lancey was fed lutefisk when he was a little boy. He says, “Not enough half centuries have gone by before I try lutefisk again.”

Exciting News From 1995

I still find it astonishing that Russia, for a brief period in 1994, was unable to launch its nuclear missiles. Also consider that squirrels have three times brought down NASDAQ, a stock exchange, by chewing into its power cables.  Combine those two facts. Get squirrels to gnaw into the powerline between Moscow Electric and Russia’s nuclear arsenal. Get those critters to knock out Putin’s ablility to nuke the USA.

Or perhaps the Pentagon already has such plans. And they’re secret. Oopsie.

The other bits of news shown on the page on the right remain interesting in their own right. Particularly the one at the bottom.
