The Great Library Cat Latch Hook Project – Part 1, Beginning

Hi there, I’m starting a third latch-hook project. It will combine two of my great loves in life: cats and books.

This project promises to possess fewer pitfalls than the last one. So the accompanying cussing should lessen as well. As always, this project should help my eyes work better together and also enhance my hand-eye coordination. Anyway, here’s what I done so far.

My Latch Hook

In my continual quest to find something that will me keep off the streets–where I’d only foment revolution–I’ve taken up latch hooking. This project will also help my manual dexterity and my eye coordination by building neural pathways. So my latch hook project is a win for every one.

I have decided to do Charlie Brown as I like his character very much and I also had a 26-year old kit for him.

Doing my bit to tame inflation, you betcha.

And here’s my progress after two days.

I played Snoopy in 5th grade Santa Anita grammar’s school production of You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.

Iggy piggy poo. (I ran out of things to say.)

A Little Bit About Me

My eyes don’t always work together. It’s not noticeable at medium-to-far distances, but reading can be quite tiring as each eye does it own thing. I’ve been doing eye therapy for about a year now and I have noticed a definite improvement in eye coordination. I’m able to read for increasing lengths of time. I have various exercises. One of them is pencilling in an adult-skill coloring book. (To the left in the below picture.) Precise pencilling is the point of this exercise. I make a great effort not to spill my pencilling into a neighboring blank sections and also to fill in every section completely. Each picture takes hours.

I enjoy jigsaw puzzles, especially the 1,000-pieces variety. I usually start when I wake up and keep going until I finish. This usually occurs in the wee hours of the morning. I find it nearly impossible to stop. The further along I get, the more I see pieces coming together in my brain. Indeed, I see envision pictures of matching pieces for a few hours after completion.

I hope you enjoy this glimpse into me; it’s not easy for me to open up.

Take care.
